Council Sporting Fields and Parks Closure Notice

Please note all Council sporting fields and parks where sporting activities are conducted across Blacktown City will be closed for any team sport indefinitely from today Friday 27 March 2020.

Following new directions from the Australian Government and acting on the latest health advice to slow the spread of COVID-19, Blacktown City Council is implementing additional restrictions including the closure of all sporting fields.

Most importantly, social distancing is vital to help limit the spread of COVID-19.

Council is concerned that team sports have continued to occur on our sporting fields, albeit in an unofficial way , and therefore the decision has been made to close all sporting fields.

This will include tennis courts, cricket nets and basketball courts.

Timeline PhotosWe may be closed, but we are still doing what we can!

We are proud to say that we are still supporting the community in everyway we can, today with the help of Cucina Locale Revolving Restaurant we managed to donate over 300kgs of produce to Foodbank NSW & ACT which included, milk, eggs and an assortment of fruit and vegetables.

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide.
